Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for a dog owner to be faced with a beloved dog’s cancer diagnosis. But early detection can improve prognosis or even save your dog’s life. That’s where our Canine Cancer-Check Checklist comes in!

Inspired by and adapted from the National Canine Cancer Foundation’s Check Your Dog Day initiative, we’ve created (with their permission) a handy guide available as a digital download for you to print out and use. The checklist includes a diagram to guide you from nose to tail and a sheet describing what you should be checking for at each area of your dog’s body. It also includes a sheet to take notes on what is normal for your dog to make it easier to notice changes, and 12 sheets for taking notes during a year’s worth of monthly exams. If and when you discover anything concerning or unusual, schedule a trip to the vet for further examination; bringing your notes with you will provide them with helpful information.
